not want to be a machine, or an appendage to a machine, pounding out on
the keys of a typewriter the words that someone else has written, or
storing away in a file cabinet the record of what someone else has done.
Its job must be creative and productive; the job must confront this
person with challenges; the job must burden this person with personal
responsibility. It will always be an added inducement to this person to
take a job if the work will bring it into contact with persons of
reputationcelebrities, doers, men and women it can admire
and strive to emulate and whose company it can enjoy.
